Hypnotherapy FAQ

Cognitive Hypnotherapy brings together many schools of thought, drawing knowledge from Evolutionary and Positive Psychology, to traditional therapy styles such as CBT, Psychotherapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Ericksonian Therapy. Cognitive Hypnotherapy also closely links its training and education to Neurological Science and cutting edge research about how the brain works. Part of the training  is to become an NLP Practitioner, which involves learn how language affects the brain, that can be used to help my patients move towards your goals.

What happens in a session?

The session is individualised so each session may look different.  The universal need for therapy to be successfull is to talk what you want to achieve and establish clear and positive goals . I’ll use a variety of different techniques to help you amend the mindset.  I will write an individualised hypnotic script for you, which I’ll record and send to you to listen to at home between our sessions.  It’s possible that you will begin to see changes after just one session, and it might surprise you to notice how quickly these positive changes can grow.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions will depend on what you want to achieve and the speed of your progress, each person will be different, and after our first meeting I will tailor a programme specifically for you. You’ll have me with you as much as you need until you get to where you want to be. Email me to book in for a free phone consultation and we can get a better idea of what will work best for you.
